Voices of Iraq reported that the Central Bank of Iraq recalled Dinar coins in denominations of 25, 50, and 100, which will be replaced by paper currency. The Central Bank of Iraq’s timeframe for the exchange runs from January 3, 2008 until January 31, 2008 for all banks across the country, with no added fees or commissions.

Coins in these denominations will not be honored after January 31, 2008. The Central Bank of Iraq issued the coins in January 2004, but they had limited circulation.
