Erbil FC reclaimed the top spot after beating visiting Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya 1-0 at Franso Hariri Stadium, in a makeup match of the Iraqi Premier League’s Group One.

Erbil’s victory was made possible by international defender Saad Attiya, who scored the game’s only goal in the 9th minute. The victory gives Erbil 58 points and puts it ahead of Dohuk by virtue of goal differential.

Erbil, which has won the tournament the past two seasons, has three more makeup matches remaining, while Dohuk has only one. This means that Erbil is closer to qualifying for the final match, where it would face Group Two champions Najaf.
