The Tunisian star Hind Sabri is trying to make up for her absence from Ramadan dramas, especially after her success last year in Baad Al-Foraq, her first television appearance alongside the Egyptian actor Khalid Salih.
According to the online newspaper Elaph, Sabri is preparing to present Ana Aiza Atjawaz for Ramadan 2010. She is in contract with producer Tariq Al-Junaini, in their second collaboration after Al-Shaqqa, and Ibrahim Al-Muallem, owner of Dar Al-Shuruq, which published a book by the same name written by Ghada Abdul Al, who is currently working on the script and dialogue for the series. The show has not yet settled on a director.
The series is taken from a book that tells the story of the author’s experience with marriage. Sabri will play her role in the show.
Sabri was able to maintain her cool as a guest on Tony Khalife’s Limaza on the Al-Qahira wa Al-Nas channel. Tony was unable to get a rise out of Sabri, who gave very diplomatic answers, particularly when he tried to get her to choose between Egypt and Tunis. Sabri answered that Egypt is now her country, because her husband is Egyptian, and she was born in Tunis. Sabri said she loves both countries equally. When Tony pressed her to answer, she responded saying, “Why should I choose when there is no law forcing me to do so. I will not suppose something that does not exist.”
